1. The Blackboard Collaborate Launcher is a utility that provides a convenient and reliable way for you to launch your Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing sessions and recordings. We use Blackboard Collaborate for Class Connect sessions. What is Class Connect? Class Connect sessions are live instructional lessons lead by your teacher.
2. InSTaLL BLaCkBoaRD CoLLaBoRaTe - MaC 3 oF 7. Click Open to open the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher and begin installation. Click Move to applications Folder to save the file to your computer. Wait for the window to verify the application download. Click Run when prompted to run the application and install Blackboard Collaborate.

Double click the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher.app file to open the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher Control Panel (see Image A) Click the Advanced button at the top of the Launcher Control Panel (see Image B) In the Advanced Launcher Settings window, you will be presented with the following options (see Image C).

4) Click on the “Download Launcher” button.

5) The Blackboard Collaborate Installer will download. Click on the Blackboard Collaborate file once it finishes downloading.

Note: By default on most computers items are downloaded inside the “Download” folder. You should also be able to find the file there.

6) A prompt will open warning you that the application was downloaded from the Internet. Click “Open” so that you can move it into your Applications Folder.
